Porsche Taycan is an incredible electric sports car. It just needs 1 more thing to get me to switch from Tesla.

I'm working actually right now for Porsche in Zuffenhausen Germany and i’m building the rear axle and the front axle up from the Taycan.
I can tell you that the Car is so Heavy because they put the Batterie Drive on the rear axle and it's so big.
Fun fact: The Taycan axles are the Hardest to build because they need the most effort unlike the 911 and Boxter that we build there too.
Greetings from Germany and we hope you like the Car. It's made with Love and passion.

Currently working at the Porsche research and development facility in Weissach. Very cool to see you have a look at the car.
Btw. yes that sound is when it changes from first to second gear :)

The reason I love the Taycan so much is that it's a Porsche that happens to be electric, not an electric vehicle with a Porsche badge. I would take the Porsche ALL DAY no question!

Marques is One of The most professional YouTubers out there. His videos have a perfect flow so you won’t get bored and makes you want to see every second of it, even if it’s 45 minutes long. Well done!

0:52 I like how you enter the car with a different t-shirt and say "continuity"

I would always take the Taycan. I do have available space in my driveway, just in case anyone at Porsche is listening. Love your work, Marques. Thanks for this.

as a german I really appreciate the way you pronounce "porsche" instead of "porsh".

I’d take the Taycan all day. Reason being, I’m in Hawaii and even the lowest range would be enough for me. The pure enjoyment of driving this thing would trump everything else for me. Not to mention I feel like it looks incredible and as you covered, the interior quality is next level. Hopefully I can pull the trigger on one of these some day. Great video as always!! 🤙🏼

Ok so now 2 years later
I have owned both. Tesla and Taycan
Taycan is flat out better
For the cost of a
Tesla S to a mid level Taycan there is no competition. The model S actually cost more than a nicely spec Taycan. There’s a lot to make the Porsche better but the biggest is the charging. When a Tesla say 250 miles…. You hope.
When Porsche says 250 miles… you get 260

Living in Switzerland, chargers offering the maximum 270kW charging speed for Taycan are never far away (the facelift does 320kW). I just bought a low mileage Cross Turismo version. The driving experience is fabulous.

I would take the Taycan over the Model S. Super charging would be great on the Porsche but I realistically would probably only ever charge it at home since I don’t road trip a lot and would probably just use a different car.

this subtle bit of silence with the clock ticking at 3:25, then right back into the action had me like "oof, that was fire"

As always, a brilliant review! I have owned four Teslas mostly performance models. Now I’m waiting for my Porsche Taycan Turbo S, I’m so excited! 😃👍

Dependency on supercharging is probably more relevant in the US by the way. In Europe it is more typical to have shorter commute so home plug does normally do well.
