This tutorial looks really nice, I checked the finished product in the last video and it looks like this tutorial covers all the basics, not the bells and whistles, but certainly the basics every platformer needs so I'm going to enjoy and hopefully learn some great things from it, thanks.

I've just got back into Godot after a couple of years away from game development as a hobby. Despite not thinking about game development in the entirety of that time, you were one of the first channels I explicitly remembered and wanted to come back to. I'm so glad you're still making content! I loved your RPG series back then (the one with the little fox and bats and grass), and this platformer will be great as a refresher. Already learning new things - Ctrl click and dragging nodes into scripts to declare them as variables is so so handy.

As one of the many people that are transitioning from Unity to Godot, I'm really impressed! I mean, in Unity it was always a headache to have slopes working (and mine's never really worked the way I want), but here all I have to do is just change a single variable!? That's amazing!
