Borderlands 2 is one of my favorite games of all time, and I did not expect ANYTHING from this movie. When I saw Kevin Hart as Roland, I knew that whoever was directing didn’t understand or care about source material.

Also, why make a borderlands 1 movie with omissions of brick and mordecai but replaced with tina and krieg??? There’s barely any story in the first game, just cash in off the popularity of Handsome Jack, guaranteed ticket seller.

When I first heard there was a Borderlands movie, I thought it was a joke. Then, when I found out that it was real, my first thoughts were, "Why the hell is this even a thing? And why now?" And I'm not at all surprised that it flopped lol

When the Writer of Chernobyl, and The Last of Us left the project the concerns started immediately.

Turns out the script was originally written by the same guy that wrote the script for Chernobyl and The Last of Us, but when it came to making the movie apparently Eli Roth began to do drastic change after drastic change to the point the scriptwriter just up and left the project entirely.
Rumors say the script actually incorporated many aspects of the games such as an emphasis on the guns, and the script was meant to be R rated.
