Nilaus made a good suggestion about building blueprints that are universally reusable. If you alway build with the same orientation and also do things like always have the thing that goes on top or the paint come in from the side and the bottom/material from the bottom, it will be much easier to reuse the blueprints in other scenarios without having to flip and turn and worry about if things are going in on the correct line.
You can also use the small signs for this, so you can label the inputs and outputs, label the platforms etc., so you know what the thing is when coming back to it.

It's worth mentioning, that it actually takes 12 sets of fluid extractors to fully saturate a space pipe. So you can do a lot of painting at the end of the pipe.

Very cool explanation of getting 8 inputs where there were 4. My only quibble is I wouldn't extract and join the top/bottom space belts and then split them for processing. But what you're doing is fine with the beauty of blueprints and no cost for buildings

For me it's beneficial to have folders for each type of saved blueprint. So one for extractors, one for cutters, one for stackers etc. You can also create folders inside of folders, so you can have an extractors folder and MK1 and MK2 folders inside that if you want.

The icon sets can be used to indicate stuff like number of lines in and out and maybe the shape or size of the platform and maybe an example of the input and output shapes when you're dealing with cutters or rotators, just to make it easier to figure out what's going on.

The mrk ii painter might be able to consolidate it down some. The paint tube can all be on level 1 and there is a jumper to jump over the track to input the paint into to painter and it will not interfere with the level 2.

You are correct, it is a fun relaxing game and to play your own way. I was usually fixated on copying someone else's builds in Factorio and not making my own since it'll suck. With this game I am trying not to go into that mode and so far, my own builds are pretty great and it's so much fun, not caring if my builds are the best or not.

You can use your scroll wheel when placing a train launcher to adjust the distance. it is the only launcher that you can i hate it cause i try to do it with belt/fluid launchers all the time

i think you can just fire the trains str8 into the vortex. unsure, should unlock them soon

I was continuing watching your series and fell asleep, waking up in this episode (never deny an old man/toddler their afternoon naps...) and I realized you're not using the map pins (side icons on top) to make direct access to various parts of your map so you don't have to necessarily remember or scroll around to get to where various sources of basic resources and shapez are. The icon looks like a map pin... like, e.g., Google maps. Maybe you didn't notice this yet further along your playthrough... If you have, nevermind. 😂.

Now awake, I'm gonna walk around to wake up for realz, and later study all your new designs. Enjoyable series! Consider after this playthrough to do the "hard" difficulty, I wonder how hard it actually is...

Love the series you could use lables to help differentiate the 'top' input and 'bottom' input for your stacking arrays might be a bit more obvious from the blueprint view. Also side note are you an Aussie?

"I can't for the life of me find a cutting icon." It's below the 3 and 4. 4 is the icon for half-destroyer, which you have unlocked. You haven't unlocked the cutter and swapper yet.

"Somebody told me to add another stop..." Allan, buddy, I thought we were close! You forgot my name? I'm crushed. Sniffle. or something. It's Billy, by the way (the W stands for William).

Strangely enough, if you click on a single tile of pipe on a platform, you'll see it can handle 7200 liters/min of flow. That's enough to handle all 12 lanes of space pipe. Weird. At the door where the space pipe connects, you can just snake a pipe across all the lanes and then use a single pipe to move it across the room when you split.

"Top 43%" is better than "Top 50%". The way you must see this is as follow: you would like to be ideally, "Top 1%".

i'm at milestone 9, operator level 73. now have randomized goals, easy to make, but they don't count up. What am I missing.

the game will scale up very fast and i hate to say it your blueprints are very inefficient especially your stacker and painter, u can condense them in a single platform(each one for splitting painting stacking... ect), the best advice i can give is to make a design that only sticks the first floor then copy and rise it a level(eventually u will have to waste hours to come up with one that's outside the box), u are going to split, paint, swap and stack a LOT and having a 8/12 line platforms to do it is essential

If you had pressed shit like it sez in the middle of the screen while holding a BP it would have been "smart enough" 😅
