This Rock 3C SBC seems to be a winner for hobbyists IMHO.
- it is available
- good price
- software seems to work (even with a sluggish OS menu)
- analog mic input (mono is good enough for me)
- M.2 SSD port and eMMC
- fan power connector (just 2 pin though)
Hopefully more of the usual local RPi retailers will be stocking these also.
