Here’s the most likely explanation for why it’s lost.

In the 90s and early 2000s the third part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure was adapted in a direct to video OVA series. One of the scenes featured the main villain, Dio Brando reading text from the Quran. Along with this the final fight portrayed mosques being destroyed and even thrown around in some scenes. Many Muslim viewers found these scenes offensive to the point that the OVAs stopped being produced, certain scenes from the manga being edited, and all future animated JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure projects being produced by David Production instead of Studio APPP.
