I have 12+ mousepads including Artisans, my favourite is the Vaxxee Pb right now. It has really solid dynamic friction that gives you tons of control without feeling swampy like the G-SR.

Hi

There’s multiple kinds of mouse pads
(Control-speed Soft-hard)

I recommend you just don’t touch hard pads unless it’s a glass pad (which you don’t want)

On a fast pad, your mouse will feel lighter and easier to move/flick HOWEVER you will have less control and precision

And I recommend you get a soft pad, regardless (just feels the best to play in my opinion)

1.artizen zero xsoft xl
2.artizen shindikai xl
3.lgg Saturn xl
4.s-gr
5.Skypad glass pad

1. A good in between for shooters that incorporate both elements (think valorant)
2. A glass infused ultrafast pad for high speed flicky games
3. A control pad for games like cs with lots of recoil control and slower paced aim
4. A mud pad the most controlled and precise pad with the most stopping power
5. The fastest pad (requires the least work to take care of can’t get dirty) (fully glass so be warned

Ranked in order of effectiveness for a wide variety of competitive gaming as well as quality.

I currently have two excellent mouse pads (Artisan and Esptiger). Before that, I used an unbranded mouse pad, but the difference in quality is significant. While doing my research, I came across a French YouTuber named Euphrao's Stuff, who has an Excel sheet detailing the various mice and mouse pads he’s tested, with lots of information on texture, size, and more. I’ll let you check it out!

I use a 90s cloth mouse pad. It's about 1/8 inch thick and 8.25x9.5". This has gotten me through many competitive Counter strike and starcraft games. I've literally used this since i was 14. I bought 3 of them when the store was closing down 100% the best mouse pad I've ever used. It was solid for ball mouse performance and laser and optical mice came out, it tested solid. Maybe some modern materials could be better, but after 20 years, you just get used to what you're used to.

The glass mouse pad with the arm sleeve is so worth it. With ceramic skates it’s perfectly frictionless and small movement aiming is so much easier

Any artisan mousepad is good. But there are alot of different types, slow, mud, speed etc. Artisan Hien or Zero is a pretty generally good mousepad.

Saturn Pro is a competitive option as well, they are bit cheaper and arrive faster because no import charges.

If you aren’t worried about price artisan mousepads are the best you can get. For a tac fps game you should get the zero or the type99.

If you want something cheaper you should get the lethal gaming gear saturn pro, it’s very similar to the artisan zero.

So fun fact, I use a regular mouse pad (80 cm in length, for both keyboard and mouse because restricted in space) but also wear an arm sleeve, just for comfort. This because I'm on a wooden table and my arm can get sticky and make playing somewhat uncomfortable. Not only that but the edge of the mousepad can feel weird and the arm sleeve (which is a sport one that cost nothing) just fix all of it. I only use it for gaming with MnK. If controller or just on desktop, I don't bother.
