Thanks for the example but if 1/x in the cos when x approaches infinity is 0 wouldn't cos(0) be 1? In which it would be infinity?

Isnt 0 x anything going to be zero afterall. And since we know range of cos is between -1 and 1, x being zero will cause x^2 to zero and eventually the whole function since zero * a rational is zero

sinx is continuous at x=0
So, why we just plug in and get the limt ?!
