If you struggle with putting and never can find the practice it’s probably time you get a putting green you can use at home so you can dial in your stroke and speed control.

​1- Distance control has been the biggest improvement!

Wasn’t expecting this from indoor putting practice but it’s easy to practice and the gains are noticeable.

Spent tons of time playing games of stopping the ball on specific targets and playing games against friends when they pop by to hang out.

​2 – Having a game is essential vs just mindless putting.

Being able to have different targets and visuals is a GAME CHANGER.

​3/4 – Understanding distances is really useful.

Knowing what a 10 footer vs 6 footer is matters because expectations drastically change.

​4/4 – Changing aim. and going from side-by-side a huge deal.

Love that it’s not just always hitting putts right down the middle and I can visually change the look of the put.

This keeps me out of mind numbing useless practice and keeps each shot looking and feeling different.

I really like that mat that you have there. Seems like it's loaded with great graphics to help putting technique. I have a much smaller putting mat that i use most of the year. For me, ever since I have been focusing on speed, my accuracy has increased dramatically. I rarely 3 putt now. Seeing the line, ensuring a good stance, pre-shot routine (practice putts to gauge speed) and a square contact point are crucial for me. This year, Ive added "aiming lines" to all my golf balls and I hope this simplifies my aiming and line reading. I cant wait to get out onto a real green tomorrow to see how it works. Thanks for the evaluation of that mat.

I love a mat with a center line. I learn so much from picking up left/right tendencies. I have a Gareth Raflewski mat but WellPutt is a very nice mat too.

have the same mat... it is quality. the stoke length indicators do help with speed control etc. The zones do help with distance training etc.

i have a Wellputt mat that i use year-round. In addition to agreeing with Cordie about using the mat to work on speed control, my basement floor is far from level, which means I can move the mat around the basement floor and work on breaking puts from 1% to 3%. That is especially fun during the off-season. If you use Aimpoint Express on the course, you can also use it to read the basement breaking putts.

Great concise video. Curious - now that the season is over, did you see the improvement translate into results on the course? I'm debating this mat vs. a few others (perfect practice, puttout, etc.). Thanks!
