I hope we get a christmas related intro for Movie 3. Maybe Robotnik dressing up as Robotnik Clause from Sonic Christmas Blast and trying to steal presents while a song called You're a Mean One Dr. Robotnik plays in the background. Sonic then spindashes to Robotnik Clause and saves christmas and says: "Merry Christmas everyone."

When I first saw Sonic 2 and I noticed the intro was the same as Sonic 1, I got legitimately confused and nervous, worried that I somehow wandered into a screening of Sonic 1. (For some backstory: A few months prior, I got lost in the cinema, accidentally wandered into the wrong screening of Spider-Man: No Way Home (it was in another language, not English) and I missed about 30 minutes of the movie.)
