Sonic was a huge part of my childhood so when I saw his original look in the trailer for the first movie I was borderline traumatized. It also goes to show that sometimes fans know what they're talking about.

For those who dont know. VFX Studios was the ones responsible for the Sonic's first design in the 2020 movie. But when they made the redesign, the studio was forced to shut down after the redesign of the movie is complete.

VFX Studios might have screwed up, but they managed to put the redemption arc before Paramount pulled the plug on them.
