I had an underdeveloped upper jaw and unfortunately the dental hospital gave me extensive braces and took six teeth out when I was about nine or ten, bringing the lower jaw back in line to the smaller upper.Although it is only cosmetic, I wish they had done jaw surgery, especially seeing the fantastic results for this young man.

I'm scared of the surgery and it must be expensive, but this guy has been saved many painful years. I bet the recovery was brutal, but a few painful months don't compare to a lifetime painfree. People don't realize that, yes he does look better now, but the kind of jaw he had would most likely lead to peinful dental situation, and chewing might become a nightmare later on. My teeth are often very painful and my jaw pops in weird painful ways, I get pain in my ears, pain in my cheeks up to my eye, it's awful and it will only get worse and worse as time goes on. It's cool that you look better after surgery but the real upside is being free of these pains
