I have been living my own life for 56 years. No peer pressure, no drama being what and who I want to be.

In my long 30 years I rarely had the courage to say NO to others. It was very tough for me. I was just taught to be nice to everyone. I feared upsetting others. I'm really trying to practice it and put my priorities first. Thank you for your kind advice. This is exactly what i needed to hear. Just beautiful.. I understand the struggles of people like me. I'm with you guys. Thank you so very much. ❤❤❤

First time I decided to just say no to someone's request...was scary....now I truly enjoy saying NO....if I don't want to do something....and its also fun to see the look on someone's face that has just been told NO ....I never give a reason either...NO means YOU for sharing your wisdom !!!!

SAY NO....Not saying NO and trying to be everything to everyone has ruined my life which I am struggling to rebuild on my own at 63 years of age..I wish I had had that advice and wisdom years ago.

I was taught at a young age to not be a disappointment. I realized in reality, we need to risk being a disappointment to others...or risk disappointing ourselves. What others expect of you is only their problem when you don't agree with their demands.

SAY NO! This video should be mandatory for kids in school and for young adults. How many, like me, took the wrong path just to 'fit in' ?? Thanks, Chad! ❤

I am a teacher and setting boundaries is absolutely essential for your mental well-being. I would be working 24/7 if I didn't.

Love listening to what you say….
A song comes to mind ….
“The return to Innocence” by enigma because it’s kinda like that when we unpack a lot of this.
But without the fragility of it. There’s a solidity about the return to innocence, because you can’t forget what you know but you can learn to understand it and forgive it and transcend it…..so there’s a wisdom a sort of mastery to your return to innocence .

The pressures for daring to be your true authentic self or on a journey to find out what that exactly means is immense. The main reason is that people simply don’t mind their business or too often have unwarranted comments or suggestions. Everyone is Dr Phil for everyone else’s life but their own.

People going to college because they were judged for not having a degree. People having an immense car payment each month because the cheap car they paid in full for wasn’t good enough to others. Women getting BBL’s to compete with other women for men into that. People buying name brand clothes because people made fun of them about the clothes they bought from Burlington. And so on.

The American Dream is dead. For those actually living the American Dream, most of them are lifelong debt slaves and that is nothing to brag about.

People are walking around depressed, insecure and more due to others getting in their head about their perceived inadequacies. Just as no one else’s fingerprints are the same, no two people are the same either. People need to stop acting like we all fit into the same box.
