Another tip: Unlock and equip the Skelly keepsake ASAP. It allows you to defy death once per run (basically gives you an extra life, with reduced health).

This helped me so much.

I got Hades a few days ago.

Took two days and 35 deaths to get to meg and was over 20 more deaths trying to beat meg, till I saw your video. 55 deaths in total.

Today I played a different slot and I got to meg in one death. 😁

Get the owl keepsake asap. Athena and the divine series are so OP, especially with the first boss. Deflecting her own munitions is a substantial amount of total damage in the fight. I've taken to switching to the lucky tooth, after the first is cleared. The second area is unlike the first. The fire, if you fall in will hurt you. In the first area, it's like impossible to fall off. Or close at least.

Just discovered this game a couple of days ago. The only thing I don't really understand, is what those red diamond things are. Typically I play melee and not caster, but I've noticed that pushing b will dispell the red diamond thing, and that it is pretty substantial in doing damage. I've seen them mentioned in the mirror, but I swear, that's it. My only other gripe would have to be the various currencies, but the trader guy is there at least. Super fun game. Sometimes the maps are so crowded, like when hades intervenes, and you have to stay alive for a predetermined amount of time. I was curious how the switch does in those situations?
