- Boycott and highlight companies that donate to the DNC or Tom Perez

This why we needed a separate progressive party. The Democrat party is controlled by neo-liberals, and neo-liberals prefer conservative fiscal and foreign policies to progressive policies. They will never support public campaign finance because that would end the corrupt system that personally benefits them and it would also result in more competition from the left.

A new progressive party could've been set up, through social media and the internet, without the help of big donors or the mainstream media. And once it was popular enough, the mainstream media would've covered it just for ratings.

But with the end of net neutrality, I don't know if that's still the case. But I do know that it's foolish to try to work with politicians who serve themselves and their big donors, even at the expense of the average American. They have proven, time and time again, that they won't do what liberals want or even what Americans in general want. They gave authorization for the invasion of Iraq, they started with a Republican healthcare plan and then compromised to the right of that, they didn't pass sensible gun safety laws or do much of anything else when they had the majority in both houses of Congress during Obama's first two years, they're okay with perpetual warfare because it benefits the political-military-industrial complex, they did unethical things in the presidential primaries, etc.

They aren't our allies, and they won't be. They are part of the ruling class, just like most Republicans. They even serve several of the same big donors.
