Blind test: Nothing feels like a MIZUNO.....OR DOES IT?

In this video PGA Golf Professional conducts a test with low handicap golfers, mid handicap golfers and high handicap golfers to find out if Mizuno Golf really have the best feeling golf irons.

Nothing Feels Like a Mizuno is the famous tag line that many golfers will know, but how true is it? These average golfers put some of the biggest brands in golf to the test and then give their opinion on how they stack up. This test includes some of the biggest brands in golf and brands that feature in the bags of PGA Tour & European Tour professional golfers. In this video you will see Mizuno Golf irons, TaylorMade Golf irons, Coba Golf irons, Ping Golf irons and PXG Golf irons.

The golfers don’t know which iron they are hitting and will have to rank them from 1 - 5. Each golfer hits multiple shots with each club . before making their decision. At the end of the video Rick will announce which brand has the best feeling golf clubs on this test.

When I bought my new irons yesterday I went for 4 different seasons hitting the Taylormade p770s, Titleist ap2, srixon, Callaway x forged and Mizuno MP18 SC. Based on a combination of look feel and price I went Mizuno and have loved every moment with them.

Why did you choose hollow head designs? Mizuno made their “feel” reputation on its blades.

The notion “nothing feels like a Mizuno” refers to their blades. I’ve tested all three MP-20 heads and the HMB was a distant 3rd vs the MB and MMC. From a practicality/playability standpoint, HMB should have been a JPX series club, but I get that premium forged hollow head is the hot class of clubs now and the MP series carries a higher brand value.

Last time I bought irons I didn’t even think about Mizunos I was thinking Titleist or Taylormade but I left with Mizunos

When I was determined to buy Mizuno blades ( 3 years ago) I went to a shop in Dubai and spent trying all different sort of clubs for a complete afternoon I actually came out with clubs I never thought of: the Srixon blades Z965. Still no regret, still I love them. Great blades - and by the way, playing blades is not at all as difficult as soooo many people say and blades just look fabulous.

Rick, I just found this video in 2021 and I was fascinated with your results. I have played a set of 845 knockoffs that I built many years ago. My brother had a set of 845s he was playing and we met at the driving range. We swapped clubs back and forth and really couldn't tell which was which after 20min of hitting. I was a 7-8 handicap player and he was a scratch golfer at the time. Since the look was identical from the hitting view, the shafts were stiff flex (mine were True Temper Dynamic Gold), we determined our thoughts in our minds about the club we were hitting made all the difference. Now I have to hit some Mizuno forged irons...

I've been playing golf for 9 years and my friends tell me I would be rich if I had the money I've spent on golf clubs so I bought the mizuno mp25 and I will never ever ever own a different brand of irons or have a different brand in my bag. And to be honest the best feeling in the world is being able to set up at address with out the thought of, maybe I need to try a different set of irons. Love mizuno, love the clubs completely sold. Give these irons a shot you'll love them.

I currently play Ap2s and found a set of mp32s for $90 at the local shop. Too good of a deal to pass up. Took them out on the course and was blown away. Hitting the sweet spot of a blade is a fantastic feeling! The feedback on mis-hits is something I needed as well so I could make proper adjustments.
