Children do this with parents, but the parents shut it down multiple times. This sets the child up to have low self esteem and no boundaries for later in life. And when they do get disrespected, they see it as a normal occurrence and get walked on by everyone they meet.

The only really works for coworkers who are in a normal mindset. There are some coworkers who are miserable and loves chaos. Better to just ignore them lol they get mad. As long as they not preventing you from doing your job not worth the energy.

I used to always get disrespected because I was that shy kid but the real strategy is to not be that one introvert and get friends so that people do not put you to mind when they want to pick on someone. This is just a way to prevent it from happening.
