Hahaha, love your hatcet mark on the back of your head. 😂. I got a similar one going on back there. All kinds of baldness I guess.

I always had bad luck with the foil shavers for head or face, the 4/5 head razor one works great for me on the rare occasion that I don't feel like wet shaving.

I got the Remington balder pro for xmas. Been shaving my head for almost 20 years with regular clippers on ZERO. This new thing works almost too good. I've always been afraid to try full Bic shave.
With this electric shaver it feels like my head has been shaved with a straight razor.
I've never felt skin on my head, its kind of weird.

Used multiple of the round skullshaver types, multiple barber style foil shavers, finally took the risk on price and got the Braun Series 9 and can 100% say it’s better than any other option for anyone else out there curious. Don’t get me wrong, I think my Andis and Babyliss foil shavers get closer but I still have bumps on my head from them that still haven’t gone over 3 months later. Skullshavers are also a pain to use around your ears compared to the Braun✌️

I have a skull shaver which I got as a gift as I usually shave with the Leaf Twig every week.

Its okay, does the job but had to go over certain areas more than once & after shaving, could still feel some areas it didnt cut so well.

With that said, I still stick to wet shaving...

Used a skull shaver for a good few years and was pleased with the results but then went to headblade which I now use every day.

Can you compare the Panasonic Arc 5 vs the Braun Series 9 for headshaving?

So much depends on hair type and skin type also. I’ve tried several different types of electric razor but it’s never as smooth as a wet shave - obviously it can’t be because you’ll always have the thickness of the foil. I guess I’m a bit obsessive as I prefer it smooth each day, but if you’re content with a little stubble then an electric razor’s a great alternative. TBH, with practice, I can shave just as quickly with a blade as I can with an electric.

Interesting comparison! The BabyBliss foil shaver looks like a closer shave compared to the Freebird head shaver. I’d love to see how it stacks up against the Braun Series 9, particularly in wet vs. dry shaving scenarios. Personally, I’ve had great results using conditioner and shaving wet with the Braun Series 9—it really enhances the glide and reduces irritation. Anyone else have thoughts on the Braun Series 9 closest shave when wet or dry?

I have big time receding hairline, very thin on top too, balding with a double crown. I also have bad head shape for shaving and on top of all that I can't grow a decent beard.
I haven't left the house for several years.

I have both the Freebird and the Braun. I love the Freebird. Its a very comfortable shave (not interested in getting super close). It doesn't yank on the hair the way some skull shavers do. It also fits into the hand very ergonomically. My hair receeded very far back but i also have the landing strip. The Braun buzzed the "blank" very close.m which I prefer. I find that by keeping those areas smooth its my way of saying to the world hey, I know im losing my hair and i don't give a damn. 😁

I use an Arc V and it's closer than this results, it's like going against the grain with safety razor, but I don't risk to cut myself. I tend to use the arc v in the winter and a safety razor during summer (I don't want to get my head wet when it's cold and I don't want to make a mess with hair and sweat during summer). Tbh I get a little bit of razorbumps around my ears with the arc v like 2 days after the shave, but it all disappers if I wash my head or shave again.
