Hiking to the HIGHEST Point in Colorado: Mount Elbert at 14,400 ft (North Trail) Stunning Views!

We visited the Leadville, Colorado area in August 2022 with our son, Jacob, to hike, eat and sight-see. Join us in this episode as we hike to the summit of Mount Elbert, the highest peak in Colorado and the second highest peak in the contiguous states via the North Mount Elbert Trail. What an achievement, congratulations to you and Jacob. So sorry Paula was not feeling well and not able to join you both at the top. Can’t even imagine how extremely tough 4500 ft of climbing is. Those views you captured at the top were absolutely breathtaking.

Amazing!!! I will hike to the top of a 14er some day!! I have only gone as high as 12, 500!! So far lol!! Congratulations and praying your wife feels better soon and can join u at the top sometime!!

Apparently Beaver Geography considers Mount Whitney to be the tallest peak in the Rockies for some reason.
