I'm betting the probe's performance will be even better than predicted. NASA always projects the minimum "survival time" of these missions. What an honor for Eugene Parker to have it named after him, and to be there for its launch. Having said that, let the conspiracy folks come forth!

It is a great chunk of hubris on our part to think that we could come close to predicting the solar weather when we are far from being able to understand the Earth’s climate and weather within a five day period.

The original launch was set for 3:33? What a coincidence!

I know someone who has lived on the space station so I know it's not a lie. But I guess everyone is entitled to there own opinions

It is a bit of hubris on our part to think that we could predict solar weather when we have yet to understand or predict earths weather within a five day period. Still, I support purposeful beginnings. Let’s apply what we can to the knowledge base. Congratulations on the successful launch.

(1) what organization(s) pay ALA for its costs to launch this project? (2) several pieces of equipment go through "separation, " so are they all recovered or just become McDonalds trash in the sea?
