Hey Guys, DVF Automotive for another video, today i took another car from my work and this is a Ford Focus with the 1.8 TurboDiesel engine with 1&5bhp, in this video i do the first test drive to see if the car runs good and if everything works properly.

This car is very nice, compact outside but spacious inside, a perfect everyday wagon.

Owned 3 MK1 focus cars, most reliable cars I've ever run. Still very good looking inside and out

My parents own this little Ford focus since it’s release, in 2003. Now i got my driving license and they gave it to me. I just love her, a lot of memories, runs so smooth and it have only 170k kilometers.
Never got any problems with it, i will never sell her.💖💖💖💖💖💖

An ex-colleague used to have one of these and many times I would ride along with him after work instead of taking the bus. I always found that dashboard design very funky! Too bad it got involved in an accident at some point..

I own an MK1 van from 2001, same engine, same horse power. Never had any problems with it, it's currently on 216.000 km. The only thing that needs to be replaced are the front struts, since those are it's original ones from the factory, other than that it's fine. After 20 years, it still has nice acceleration and engine doesn't make too much noise, since it's a diesel engine. The only thing that particular engine, 1.8 TDCI has and that is something that anyone who has this car has to take care of is the flywheel and the nozzles, those two things can go bad, but in my case never had a problem with it.

I had this as my second car, same year, same engine. It had only 160k km and a lot of engine problems - injectors and starter. I managed to fix them all, but after some time the injectors were starting to get bad again, so I sold it and bought Audi A3 8P and never had engine problems again.
The car was turning off, had difficulties with starting as well, the engine was a headache. Otherwise it is a good looking car, its design is timeless, interior is very nice and comfy, but sound isolation should be better, you can hear it also in this video. If anyone happens to buy this car, get petrol or TDDI engine, common rail version is known to have issues with injectors.

Good cars and good engines 👌 had a few 1.8s now in a few different ford models but it’s still all the same base engine and if you attend to all the servicing properly they will just keep going. Had one up to 130K, one 150K and another 248K miles

My neighbor drives a 2001 Ford Focus. I used to have a 2005 Ford Focus in a 4 Door hatchback. That car I had for almost 7 years before I was in a car accident. Now I drive an 2015 Ford Escape.

In my opinion this was the best engine they put in this generation of Focus.

If these diesel Focuses were sold in Canada and the States, they would have given the Volkswagen Jetta and Golf TDI a run for their money! The VW TDI had no competitors up until the Chevrolet Cruze Diesel and even the Chevy Cruze Diesel wasn't as good as the Ford Focus Diesel. It would have been cool if these Ford Focus Diesels were sold in Canada and the States and would have been a nice bonus to go with your Ford Excursion or Ford Super Duty with the legendary 7.3 Ford Powerstroke diesel engine. It's a shame that diesel cars are uncommon in the States and Canada as they are more fuel efficient than the more popular and more common gasoline powered cars.

I think there is a gear shock when the rpm is high.
