This physics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into beat frequency. It explains how to calculate the beat frequency of two tuning forks vibrating next to each other. it explains how to measure the two possible frequencies of a tuning fork based on the single beat frequency that it produces. it also discusses how to find the exact sound frequency of a tuning fork by measuring the beat frequency producing from the tuning fork with two other different sound waves. This video contains plenty of examples and physics practice problems.

Perfect nice, direct and simple. I stopped by because I need to determine the difference of two musicial pitches, one is out by 0.5 - 1.0 cent, they need to be exact, I need to specify how much off pitch one note is only by beating the two together. So now, I count the beats over a stopwatch time base and job sorted, perfect.

Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for a short and sweet video/lecture on Beat Frequency in Applied/Engineering Physics. This is an error free video/lecture on YouTube TV with the Organic Chemistry Tutor.

I was too lazy and tired to study the night before my test so instead of doing nothing I decided to watch a video to understand this concept which was the main thing I didn’t understand and now I understand it and can do well in my east to that you!!

Does beat frequency refer to the pitch or does it refer to cycles per second?

I learned more about how stupidly the questions are asked.
Tuning forks too emits sound waves, so every question confused me since “sound waves” in the question were from some external resource that was emitting onto the tuning fork, and not what the tuning fork it self was emitting.

I’d want the questions to give a source of the sound waves, and referring to that instead of just saying sound waves, because it made the questions confusing for me.

you shouldnt need a calculator for subtracting 425 from 436

Your exercise are too easy, it doesn't have any difficulty. It does not help you understand complex questions that can appear in the exam, if people encounter a more complicated questions, they would not know how to start.
