Wiring your subwoofer to a stereo that has only one pre-amp output is a lot easier than you think!!!

I have been surfing the internet like a headless chicken for about 6 hours now, this is a good example of how videos should be made!

RCA splitter was the culprit for that ground loop humming in my active subwoofer, a single shielded rca cable solved my problem right away.

Cool video, can I do this to my head unit with 2 set of rca. Because I wanted to connect front speaker and a subwoofer to my 4 channel amplifier, Thanks.

When using a y cable, you are halving the voltage output per channel. For a monoblock, having 2 4 volt inputs creates a stronger input voltage than a single 4 volt being halved into 2 2 volt inputs, so line driver?

If you use the y cable do you need to connect the amp turn on besides the power and ground.

Great to the Point Video. THX Looking to connect a new Denon AV Receiver which has 2 SW Pre-outs (which I think to mean that 2 SW can be connected - theie manual is not clear on this), to a Monoprice SW [60 Watt] which has 2 RCA Input jacks. The Y cable is the answer !!

Hi viewers! What can I do if I do have only one RCA output (white/red) and 7 speakers (including 1 sub) in my car? There is any chance to wire this subwoofer as well? Thank you

in my case I have a factory subwoofer, which has a built in amp...which only has 2 input wires. (1989 Hj61 landcruiser)

So how do I connect the 2 wires to the single rca connector??

What is the reason for not hearing bass out side a sedan car other than a hatchback car?

Damn, I'm getting close here but still not quite.
Question: I have one AV plug in on the back of my Amp for the subwoofer.
The subwoofer I bought (used) has the "push tabs" for power and ground.
Can this be hooked up ?
