I made one very similar to this. It is 4ft by 8ft. The top is extremely heavy, it has a side vice and an end vice, and dog holes.

Buy a Acrylic squeegee for glue spreading works better than anything u can buy also works GREAT on liquid nail. Btw if u dont have liquid nail in ur woodshop ur really missing a very important tool.

Power tools make things easy easier but this of how it was done for centuries and lots of those pieces will outlast the things turned out with all those fancy tools from quarter million dollar shops.
