Maryland's Mind Eraser was a friend of mine's first roller coaster ever when he was 19 years old. He had never gotten to go to any theme parks earlier in his life as he grew up in rural Pakistan, but he absolutely adored the heck outta that thing. It was worth my neck pain for the joy on his face

I'm not even a rollercoaster rider, but I like watching coaster videos because I find the engineering and ride experience design interesting. Your account is so excellent because even when you give a poor review to a coaster, you're usually able to include some positive edge to it. It's because of that, I think this video is well-earned! Since you're so generous in your reviews, I know your "worst of" can be trusted because you don't just look for things to complain about. Heck, even in this video you gave two of the rides somewhat the benefit of the doubt!

You didn’t even mention how god awful mind eraser at darien lake LOOKS, they sandblasted it like five years ago and then never repainted it so there’s just big gray patches, it looks like the coaster is rotting

It’s really sad, because Deja Vu at Six Flags Magic Mountain was one of my favorite coaster of all time. Riding in the back with the original trains was honestly not rough and one of most thrilling experiences, especially on the final trip up the vertical spike upon returning to the station. One of the best coaster experiences of my life but sadly agree and understand what that coaster became with the new premier trains as I was able to ride both iterations. I couldn’t believe how horrible it was. Sad to see my beloved turn into such a problem coaster. RIP the good times

I'm gonna be honest, while your usual positive and complimentary commentary on rides is very pleasant to listen to, it *is* nice every now and then to hear you GO OFF on an absolutely terrible ride. Way less scripted sounding, much more relatable. Great video!

(Also, never knew you were a CT resident. Hope to catch you at Lake Compounce sometime :])

Sea serpent is actually the smoothest boomerang I’ve ever been on with the new restraints! I love that ride!

The worst coaster I’ve ridden is time warp at Canada’s wonderland. But it’s worth mentioning that my entire bottom 3 are coasters that I knew would be bad going in. The worst coaster that I didn’t expect to be bad was Firebird at Six Flags America. That thing was horrid. I would throw a party if it closed.

Edit: It’s an honor to have won your contest!

As a New Jersey resident, my home park is Six Flags Great Adventure and I'm glad that you gave the Great American Scream Machine the burial it deserves. I understand that it helped revitalize the park, but it was painful the whole way through, especially for a taller rider like myself where those hard orange restraints felt like knives digging into my shoulders. Superman Ultimate Flight is a much better ride experience, as was just about every other coaster in the park with the exception of Skull Mountain.

Vortex is by far the worst I have ever been on. I felt every bump on the tender area between my legs

As a Canadian I can absolutely agree about the Minebuster. However, it was also the funniest part, I remember many a rides where myself and my friends just laughed the entire ride and how horrible the cars were shaking hahaha

I’ll say, Mind Eraser truly erases your mind with all that headbanging. Could give any average theme park guest a total memory wipe

Vortex takes forever to load. The loading time is longer than the ride itself so at the end of the ride you stop right outside the station in the blazing sun for upwards of 10 minutes

Oh goodness, i was at Hershey on the 30th last month, and wildcat was closing on the 31st. I decided to take one last ride even though I've never had a good ride on it. The rest of my day was destroyed by nausea and i never got the chance to ride the new candymonium, as well as some other staples at the park. I at least got front row wing on sky rush earlier

Worse one I’ve ever ridden was Mean Streak, Cedar Point. There was something fundamentally flawed with all those Dinn coasters. They never rode right and would slam you back and forth a good six inches and at full speed it was like getting shaken like a rat.

The ride had its own dedicated carpentry department and they had to repair the structure every day and replaced the entire track every year.

As someone that has Carowinds as my home park Vortex is one of the few coasters I downright refuse to ride. I always hear nothing but horrible things about that torture machine. That's one of the few coaster credits I have no desire to obtain at Carowinds. I seriously hope they tear that down and replace it with something better like a dive coaster.

Agh I'm glad you mentioned Soarin' Eagle. The one at CW just felt extremely unsafe to me lol
I'm a very small person, so I constantly felt like I was going to fall out. I've never felt genuinely unsafe on a rollercoaster until then

I actually LOVED Dejavu at magic mountain. I’m extremely sick and tired of “boomerang” coasters being literally everywhere, honestly it’s probably my least favorite coaster type ever, but the inverted aspect really breathed life into it, I thought. I loved how the two towers were vertical, instead of just inclined, and the sensation of basically diving straight down at the ground off the first tower before pulling up and shooting through the station. I don’t recall my rides of dejavu being uncomfortable either.

I've ridden aftershock at silverwood. It's the exact same model as goliath except with the original trains. That coaster IS AWESOME. Now I don't know if the different cars really make it that much worse, but aftershock was very smooth and one of the best coasters I have ever been on. Even after traveling to cedar point, aftershock is top 3 EASILY.
