Thanks for this interesting video. I'm several years -- 54 to be exact -- out of high school, and I'm eager to relearn my math, just because it's worth knowing.

There's something about the video I don't get. At 2:50, you say you're "shifting" y^2 + x^2 = r^2 to the right, yielding y^2 + (x-r)^2 = r^2. But for this shift to occur, doesn't (x-r)^2 have to substitute for x^2? I don't see how it does. Can you please help with this? I've been killing my brain on it.

How do you end up with 4r^2 in the quadratic formula? Would it not only be 2r^2 or am I missing something? Thanks!!
