Steve Harvey Announces Wrong Winner

The 2015 edition of the Miss Universe Pageant was bookended by two moments that were fascinating for very different reasons. Judge Perez Hilton, sporting a fabulous Christmas suit, opened Sunday night’s festivities by declaring: “Thankfully, Donald Trump no longer owns this pageant.” The sharp-suited Steve Harvey, host of the 2015 Miss Universe Pageant crowned Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner with Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach as first runner-up. Then, something truly strange happened: as Miss Colombia sported her crown and flowers, smiling wide and blowing kisses to the crowd, Harvey announced that he’d misread the cue cards, and that Gutierrez was supposed to be crowned the first runner-up, with Wurtzbach as the winner.

I find this sad and embarrassingly hilarious.

People are making comments as if Steve Harvey did it on purpose. It was his first time hosting this pageant and he is human; mistakes happen.

Sad, atleast he has a courage to put everything on the right place, Philippines should devour that moment by announcing as a winner miss universe 2015 on the first place although it is more sad for the Columbia .. "I will take responsibilities for this " it was touching and dramatic makes the show more controversy and popular in the history of all beauty pageant competition .. Congrats miss Philippines, Columbia and USA , 3 of u Are winners anywaY..

It's insane he made the mistake. If you look at the card the winner is in huge type! That's not human error, that's just stupid! He was an awful and insulting host. Terrible choice. I miss bob barker!
