The Miss Universe pageant ended with a shocking twist Sunday night as host Steve Harvey mistakenly named the wrong contestant the winner and then, had to strip her of her crown.

Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez was declared the new Miss Universe, but her reign lasted only a few minutes as Harvey soon realized he misread his cue cards. Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, who had been originally named the first runner-up had actually won the pageant, Harvey explained. A stunned Alonzo Wurtzbach was then escorted to center stage and the tiarra that Gutierrez was wearing was removed and placed on Miss Philippines' head just before the program ended.

Una gran confusión se generó este domingo en la noche durante la gala de elección y coronación de Miss Universo 2015, pues el presentador estadounidense Steve Harvey nombró a Ariadna Gutiérrez como la sucesora de Paulina Vega Dieppa.

Colombia fue reina durante 2 minutos y 32 segundos, después de los cuales le dijeron que en realidad era la virreina. A los dos minutos y 52 segundos anunciaron a Filipinas como ganadora.

Still kudos to Steve Harvey, because in his interview he said the organizers told him to leave it be. They will just fix the mistake next day, but he didn't want the real MU to lose her moment and get what's rightfully hers.

Initially I felt bad for Miss Colombia... but when I thought about it, the real injustice was done to Miss Phillipines - she didn't get to experience that moment of glory with the whole glitter and sparkles and music which every other Miss Universe did. When finally she got her turn, it was a bit embarrassing and confusing... she couldn't openly express her happiness because of how Miss Colombia might feel.

Miss Colombia, on the other hand, actually got a better deal. No one ever remembers the runner up - but she will be remembered because of this. She actually got her moment of triumph even though it lasted only for few minutes.

There’s a video showing other contestants shooing Pia away as she tried to approach Miss Columbia afterwards. They then started chanting “Columbia.” That behavior is ugly.

But, when I watch this again, , I can't still imagine how painful, shocking, embarrassing and frustrating this moment for the show, , , specially to the Girls, Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines...
