Although this could be condensed into about 5 minutes, this is probably the best solution to changing out a recessed fixture designed for 2 or 4 pin CFLs to an LED conversion. The advantage is that the ballast is bypassed and that the existing wires are used

At 3:40, you show the two red wires joined together, and also the two blue wires joined together. Am I correct to assume that you would only need one red and one blue wire? If so, why strip and join together the red and the blue?

I think you connected the wires wrong...I thought it was suppose to be Blue To White and Red to Black.
