Why did you remove the can? Is it not usable with the new light? Can’t you just wire the blue and red wires to the black and white ones?

Excellent video. Question: I'd like to use an LED bulb with a G24q base. After I bypass the ballast, can I put the two hot wires (red) from the G24 plug in the same wire nut as the house hot (black) wire from the Romex? And put the two neutral wires (blue) in the same wire nut with the common (white) wire from the Romex? Thanks!
