SUPER, SUPER demo Colin! I really appreciate the way you demonstated cutting up the loop.

Very useful tips. Great energy add. Some other subtle tips in there as well, like leaving percussion out in pre choruses to help the build.

I really like the tip about reverb on percussion at certain times. Never thought of that before!

You read my mind Colin last week I ordered a tambourine and just finished using it in a recording. It is a powerful tool for being such a small inexpensive instrument, like you said it sort of lives in a frequency that is usually empty in most mixes like tabasco sauce a little goes a long way. What is great about it too is it is very easy to play and record, it is actually easier to play the part than looking for and cutting up loops. I like to leave mine a little sloppy here and there it really adds a human touch to the mix, but like the cowbell, it can get overused, so be careful

Just curious as to why you put the loop in an audio track, instead of just the standard loop track GarageBand would make for it if you just drag it to the bottom?

Colin how would you create your own tambo (snare, kick, cymbal, etc) loop and have it saved in the GB loop station?
