My run commute has been getting out of bed and running as fast as I can to my computer room to not be late to my video conference.

Alternatively you could perform a brick session especially when there are sections of your route that are not pedestrian friendly. I have a busy highway that separate me from the neighboring town so I would bike the more precarious sections and then stash my bike at a friends house and run the rest of the way. Thanks for the top tips.

I used to commute by bike once or twice a week back when I was working from office (before COVID-19), 27 km each way. I managed to arrange for myself 2 laptops, one that is always at work, and another that is always at home, and I kept several sets of clothes at work, occasionally taking them home for laundry on my train days, so I was able to ride light, basically with just a few items fitting into my handlebar bag. I've been forever thinking of trying running to work as well, probably not the whole distance, but I think running light might work here as well, having just a running vest on me.

Oh, I run to work in the morning; straight from the bed into my home office because I overslept :D

It's actually a great idea to run to my busstop, somewhat 6km away. Thanks for the tip!

i am about 6km to work which is a great distance to do in the morning but there are no showers at work and i live in Greece which is really hot most time of the year so you get the picture. plus i would have to run most of the way in very busy streets, not my favorite thing. i envy those who can do it

can't ride my bike to work in the dead of Canadian winter...but I can run so I swap my bike commute for a run and it works wonderfully.

that was just what I needed to hear
I have taken your 10K running program and run after it and wondered what easy running meant now I know it 80% in zone 2 so easy running must be in zone 2? :-) 😁
PS. you make real good videos super.

In normal times I run 800m to the subway and then home from the final station (11-15km). I don't need a backpack, because I just take my phone and key with me. The subway is warm enough even in a cold winter, so no additional jacket is needed. Nowadays I do it rarely because I mostly have to carry my computer. Then I run in the home-office lunchbreak.

I tried this and I showed up 2 hours late, drenched in sweat, that flopped over passing out infront of my boss. When I came too I was in the ER with a note my late saying, "your fired"

I'll just stick to bike commuting. I have way too much stuff to carry. Especially in the winter, I have to carry a couple of days clothes and food just in case the highways get closed (I'm a truck driver).

I can't do it, got to get my aerobic capacity up to make the 20 ft run

A physical practice that may be a necessity for some is becoming a fashion and mass activity with the aim of commercializing it, of course. Instead of fighting for 8 hours of work, 8 hours of sleep and 8 hours of free time to do our running, we sit and talk about self-flagellation as a new fitness trend. Mercy

I wanted to run my commute for years now, but because of the frankly absurd amount of sweating I experience when I just so much as think of physical exercise I never do it. We don't have showers in the office, and it would take me aproximately 20 minutes to air dry, but it would leave a very... let's call it "athletic scent".

Great content, but please, buy the new presenter a 50€ external mic, now the camera mic picks up a lot of wind/background noise

Sadly I can't run to work because I work as a university lecturer and I wear a suit and if I run I will get sweaty and there is no place to change at work
