Thanks for the clear instructions... took the guessing out as the heatsink came with no instructions.
Only Issue i had was that I left the first thermal sticker on to long so when peeling the back off it stretched over the the connections but luckily had a spare which i did much quicker.
The Samsung Pro 2tb says its at a 5700 speed but tried various games out and extremely quick so dont worry about that (maybe down the line its worth updating firmware but i dont have that option as no motherboard with m.2)

My exact setup, dbrand matte black plates, blue power light, p10, sn850 same heat sink. I do load all my ps4 games to the external, and ps5 going to the m.2. Really wanted the 2tb but too expensive and don’t really need it yet maybe next year

I have the same heatsink and m.2 ssd but one think I've noticed is for me personally is when I'm loading games from it, it does a very loud audible buzz then stops, scared me the first Time thought somone was breaking but it still is working fine

Only concern i have with this is your trapping all that heat under that lid. Even though there are 2 channels to pull hot air out of that chamber. I know there are aftermarket coolers for these also but some people have their opinions of. But keeps the ssd cool and doesn’t effect internal temps of the console. How ever just leaving off that lid lowers ssd temps by around 10-20c. So curious everyone’s take on this

how long does it take to transfer a game (say call of duty for direct comparison) onto the external drive? thanks

You can use a slower speed M.2 SSD. But should still make sure it’s pci 4.0. DF showed and tested slower speed on ps5
(This could change in the future. as there not many 1st next gen games atm. This prob change as games get more demanding/tale more advantage of the hardware). Removing the sticker will NOT VOID your warranty.

Hi there just a question I have purchased the same ssd card and have the same heat sink as you however when I format the ssd it gives me a lower speed reading to yours 6125.652 MB/s is this okay or do you think there is a problem with the ssd. Thank you for any help keep up good work 👍
