According to my Garmin watch my VO2 Max has gone from 39 to 45 in the last year. I've always been physically active but for some reason decided to get into running in my late 40s and for some even more bizarre reason decided to sign up for an ultramarathon in 5 weeks.

But it shows what can be done at any age (sort of). We can all just push things forward and go for it. My aim is to hit 50 by the end of next year.

Measured my first vo2 max today at 59 woth my garmin, I'm very surprised because I thought it would be 40. I guess the 10 hour cardio (9 hours zone 2, 1 hour zone 4-5) week for 6 weeks works pretty well.

‘V’ indicates flow. So it’s just maximum oxygen flow

It's all about mitochondria, but these "experts" skirt around it and don't mention it. Disappointing!

They always say things so complicated! Can you just simplify what your saying!
