As someone who keeps their printer in a greenhouse (strange, I know) this is very reassuring! I have terrible moisture to deal with though being in the UK

Actually turned out ok especially out in the weather ….. I’ve ended out putting mine in a closest the drafts kept causing massive issues so this is funny. !!!! Way to go !!

Well, the element has to get hot enough to melt the plastic filament. Sure that's cold, but to the heating element, _everything_ is cold. A difference of 40°F isn't that much to it. In addition, I'd assume that the circuitry would actually have less heating issues, and would run cooler. Maybe some snow hit some exposed wire and that became water which caused a reboot, but overall not that much of a challenge.

Love the freaking colors but hate the layers, and part of it seems like the color changing is making the layers more noticeable

so, I'm in Finland, and I have a fair amount of space on my (enclosed) balcony... would this be viable in 0 > -20c without the snow, or would it hurt the build quality do you think?

You could easily use higher print temps and it'll cool well

I did an outdoor demo colder than that once. Less than zero. Long as your heater can keep up and the thermocouple is properly calibrated.

Whatever you printed looks like it's glitching in real life 😂
