Great video, i see so much on youtube and they all talk about how good or bad a cameras video and audio are, i don't shoot video so was looking for a review on the picture taking. i'm currently using the Nex C3 with the 18-55 kit lens and an adapted canon fd 50mm f1.8 prime lens, have been for a while but am now looking to upgrade, i have a tight budget so making the right choice is a must. I was looking at the Nex 6 and the sony 50mm f1.8 prime lens but the A5000 is around £100 cheaper than the nex 6 which means i could put that £100 towards the lens and after watching your video i'm 90% in favour of the A5000.

Appreciate the video in 2020. I have a two Sony A6000 bodies and some primes (to include the 30/1.8), plus the kit lenses. The place I used to work has a very clean A5000 with the 16-50 . I was really taken with the compactness and it appealed to me as an easy to keep on hand camera when out and about that could use the lenses I already have. Now seeing the results you are getting I'm thinking it would indeed be a great little camera to toss one of my compact lenses on or just leave the kit lens on it and keep it in the van for those sudden opportunities. Or those moments when you just decide to stop somewhere and take some photos.

I still use this camera when I need a light camera to throw in my purse when my Canon is too large for on the go! Still a fantastic camera with the right lens.

Me again. Ended up going with a Canon 6D &7D, plus Tamron SD 24-70/2.8 and 70-200/2.8 (new good glass, old, but great bodies.) I'm probably going to sell my a6000s and most of the lenses. But... there is still that a5000 at the shop that should be going on clearance any time now. I'm thinking the a5000 and keep my Sigma 16mm/1.4 DC and Samyang 12mm/f2 manual focus to make a great, very packable fun kit. Not to mention handy for B roll and casual video. Hope 2021 is doing well by you.

hi! I have sony a5000 i got from my parents to practice with. I was going to upgrade the kit lens and was playing around with various e mount lenses. Do you think it would be better to just upgrade to the a7iii instead of spending all the money on the lenses on the tiny body? Is the difference between a5000 and a7iii pretty huge?
