Neil deGrasse Tyson is one of those people I could spend my whole life around and still feel like I don't know or understand half of what he knows.

THIS is one of the great men of our era, I think it's really important for us to recognize it and support him. In an era with such distractions as the Kardashians..enlightened individuals like Tyson, are a breath of fresh air. It's always amazing to me and encouraging hearing true wisdom, because when you hear it and it clicks...its always a moment of epiphany. Everytime this man talks it's un bias and it's always through the filter of thinking of others as well. Very humble rich man spiritually and mentally. Recognize it peeps.

I have the same kind of answer for "which came first, the chicken or the egg" and "if a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound?" Theyr are actually easy to answer scientifically and rationally.

The water can't be on it's way up the glass, because the moment that happened it would be more than half full, so the description "half full" would fail. It can't be on its way down because the second it was below the half way point it would be less than half full, so the description "half empty" would fail. The instant the glass is half FILLED with water it is neither, in that moment, half full nor half empty. We would say it is at equilibrium of its potential volume ---Daffy Duck
