Thanks! My GLK is whining at certain speeds. How do i differentiate if it is the torque converter OR the transfer case bearing? Thank you!

Hi Sir,
I have 07 Toyota avalon with 217k miles. Fluid is clean… I did feel a shudder so I had it drain and refill plus filter done two years ago. Fluid is still good color. But I’ve Notice everytime (I drive highway about 90% of the time) I let my foot off the gas and press it again, it wouldn’t thud and accelerate. Could this be related to the converter?

Thanks for the video very good information. I have a 12 GMC Acadia that has shudder but don't throw out any codes. Took to dealer they added instant shudder fix but was advised it may or may not correct the problem. Months later still dealing with the same problem took to chevy dealer was advised i needed a fuel pump (expensive job) had it it replaced and thought my problem was solved but i still feel the shudder around 40-45 mph and sometimes going up an incline. Replacing pump did seem to help some but the problem is still there. Any advice would be much appreciated!! Thanks!!!

Since my partner passed, I've been learning to do the many things that he did. However, this repair, won't be one I can do on my own and would really appreciate it if someone could answer a question for me, , please?

My 2010 Impala LTZ Automatic (126, 000) won't pass Smog and the check engine light reader from Auto Zone says I need a new Torque Converter clutch. The part is just $45, and understanding the labor part is a bitch to get to because you need to take the left tire off and work it from there. My question is, how much time would be reasonably expected with no waiting for the part to be completed? Because I am a woman, and by myself, I feel the price I was quoted, needs a second opinion, and I just want to check with the pros here, if it indeed sounds reasonable. Thanks, if you stuck it out till the end.

I have 2015 mdx with 145k miles with a bad torque converter. Car shudders between 40mph and 60mph. Should i change the converter now or keep driving like that and rebuild the transmission later? Since the labor is about the same?🤔🤔🤔

Quick questions after pushing the torque converter all the way back do they usually have a little bit of play left to right up and down?

I'm not sure if you'll see this question but you mentioned something about the insurance company.... Can a torque converter get damaged from a car accident? Someone hit us a little over a year ago and we've had a vibration (like going over a rumble strip) at around 1400 RPMs. The vibration did not exist before the accident and no mechanic in our area can figure out what the problem is. From what I'm coming up with online, it could possibly be the torque converter but I have not been able to find out what would cause the torque converter to fail. Thank you.

seems like some other mechanic didn't install the front pump seal correct before you got to it and when you went to take off the torque converter it was stuck or heat welded onto it.
