Regardless of how much we know about the fretboard and theory, the pentatonic scale will always be timeless! Awesome and informative work here man!

I think everybody finds there self in one box at a time and we are caught it a rut with said boxes. I've played for 17 years and I'm still learning. I'm glad that this video is available for people like me that expands our horizons. Thanks for the video 👍

Thanks for the video Robert. knowing all the shapes creates a lot more fun.I learned them early in playing. They are posted on the wall so I always see them.

One thing I started to notice with my playing(was in a rut), I have all these licks, but most don't involve hitting the same note. also I started focusing on what I'm not playing instead of what I am playing. I don't need every note in a run, timing & space is crucial.. great video, hope all is well, take it easy...

Ooh, interesting! I'm hammering the pentatonic scale right now and I've been getting lovely bluesy sounds from fluidly moving between boxes but this is a game-changer.

The fact that the black Revv head is on the seafoam cab and vice versa is really messing with my ocd.... 😂

Great vid Robert. not long before you started on this box mixing I was playing around with it. You make it sound better most the time so I'll be following these pent tips! Thanks man!!

Must be the algorithm that brought me to a lesson on playing two sides of the "equator", box 5 and box 1 from John Mayer first, then this related concept. So I took it as a sign and subscribed cause I like your attitude and philosophy on playing.

Great concept- I have been playing for years, and have frustrating always kicked learning scales bc of that linear aspect. Such a simple concept - but totally came at a time where this made absolute sense. Thanks!

Maestro! So good man. Thank you so much. I’ve been playing for a long while and I truly and genuinely enjoy your approach to everything Guitar. Your pentatonic work, your diatonic work, everything. You just have a great feel and are really a tasty guitarist with a tremendous gift and wonderful ability to share what you’ve learned. I have some similar ascending diatonic riffs. They are actually on the new album that’s coming out next month. Thank you for sharing your amazing gift. I hope your hands heal up a quick.

Dweevil Zappa has a similar method as well. He had just did a video on the idea as well. Definetly helpful.
