I sincerely don't mind that much about formal words people say that may sound a bit insulting cos perhaps people end up saying them just to try sounding clever than others and stand out in the crowd . It s important not to make a fuss over anything people say otherwise people will end up drifting apart from you !

I'm English and I wouldn't call this super easy English. If I stopped a few people in the street they wouldn't know evocative 😉

Good explanations, but no way is this video 'Easy English'! I have been learning English for 36 (!) years now and up to this day I have never come across the expression with 'slur'. What's more, it is collocial language which is ususally not part of a basic vocabulary. Anyhow, all of the words you have listed are part of a vocabulary for intermediate learners.
