'Atheist are Arrogant' Former Atheist BRILLIANTLY Explains The Inherent Flaws of Atheism!

Alex O'connor recently hosted Ayaan Hirsi on his podcast to discuss all things faith and atheism. Alex was cordial in the conversation and allowed Ayaan to speak freely and openly. However, during a segment regarding her belief in Christianity, Alex pressed Ayaan about certainty and her response was absolutely brilliant! She made it clear about how she feels about atheist (being a former atheist herself) and why they are doomed if they do not change this.

What a beautifully intelligent woman. So humble, and so right.

To be fair, Alex is capable of having good faith conversations without resorting to sarcasm like most atheists. But Ali was very eloquent in this, great conversation

She didn’t cook him. Sounds like they were having a cordial conversation.

Alex was being very respectful.
Being sceptical of religious priests supernatural 'truth' claims is a perfectly reasonal position.

Of all athiest, Alex is the most respectful and he asks honest quiestion. With our mockery or insults. My respect to him, hopefully he finds his way to God

He's right when he says that everyone worships something at 4:02. You could say we're all slaves to something. Remind me of the phrase "Lord let thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my soul." If we must be slaves, then isn't it better that we be slaves to the highest good than slaves of our flesh and desires?

I think the caption and title isnt appropriate its click bait rather, as the source video isn't even a debate but instead was quite a genuine conversation

Love her final comment "A God who became human and died for our sins. It's extraordinary. It's amazing. I get the chills talking about it." Same, sister, same. Very beautiful story, the story of Jesus Christ and the redemption He crafted for us through His personal sacrifice. Absolutely incredible. I'm a bit of a sci-fi buff and you can't even imagine such love even in the world of fiction, much less in reality: Giving up limitless power for spiritually worthless vastly inferior beings. Gotta be kidding me. Nobody does that. But our lovely Jesus. Amen!

Sad that the people in the video both had better chacter than the channel that pisted them. Disingenuous click bait thumbnail, giving a false definition of atheism, and then blanket claiming that the otherside is simply close minded or they would believe. Disappointed that YouTube recommended me this video.

I am a christian but I must say that Alex O'Connor is a beautiful and respectful gentleman.

Wow. This videos is disingenuous and an exercise in projection.
Both people in the interview exhibited more good faith discussion than the channel host.
This is confirmation bias at its best

This video isn't really about debating.

We aren't arrogant, we aren't going to take your word for something you can't possibly know to be fact.

This is clickbait.

The discussion is an interview, and NOT a debate. Alex has had many of these types of interviews with both Christians and non-Christians. I think he is one of the best at doing these types of interviews, certainly much better than many Christians I've seen.

I've been on both sides of the aisle, too - atheist/agnostic for 20 years, believer for about the same - and imo, it's a draw. There is a lot of groupthink, echo chambering, and close-mindedness on both sides. And which side you are on will determine which side you think has the more closed-mindedness. It's always the other side. I mean, I'll bet when she was an atheist, she would've thought it was the Christians who were the most closed-minded. Now that she's a believer, it's the atheists. It's human nature to see the fault in the other camp and not in ourselves.

I have a feeling Alex will turn to Christ, I pray he does.

An apologist mistaking being rational for arrogance?

No one has EVER "cooked" Alex I could tell by the thumbnail that this was click bait. Very Christian like of you. The irony, this comment section is cooking you 😂

Ali doesn't actually believe any of the claims that Christianty requires, she has a Jordan Pederson style "faith"
