This must be old because both the United States and the UK passed bills to move pharmaceutical manufacturing back to Europe and the United States. After the antibiotic pipeline slowed down during the pandemic, due to Chinese factories closing down. The United States in the EU thought it would be wise to move manufacturing back.

Consumers should have the choice of what products they buy, not a tyrannical government be it US or China

Tariffs are just a bad idea to begin with. It's basically a giant sales tax.

Canadians are paying very high prices for food partly due to such high demand from China, who has faced a lot of natural and manmade disasters that have devastated its food industry. Its time we started feeding Canadians.

We have the resources here to produce anything we need. Al we have to do is use them. There would be all kinds of good paying jobs. We have more oil than anyone. Also, we have one of the richest gold veins in the world under Los Vegas.

Most pharmaceutical products are now made in India. However, most of the active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) are now made in China. Unfortunately, FDA rarely inspect those two countries and quality is not what it should be. An example is fentanyl, mostly is synthetized in China, process in Mexico and cross the wide open border to the USA.

Maybe they could refuse to sell us the fentanyl.

Throughout the development of human society, we've learned a valuable lesson: cooperation and competition must coexist. Conflict and war cannot solve problems. China has its strengths, and America has its own advantages. To ensure that the United States remains competitive, the most crucial factor is the power of education.

this is why we need a proven business leader someone who knows how to negotiate and has credibility . Like him or hate him personally Trump is first and foremost, a businessman. He’s the one that needs to lead this country.

It is a bad sign for an economy when necessity spending experience high inflationary pressure. It indicate inefficiency in resources allocation for key areas due to government misspending.
In that sense, both US and CN are suffering from the same sickness stem from greed of the few outweigh the needs of many.
