Fast Effective Fire Plough fire plow in the UK friction fire

This clip is to demonstrate that the fire plough can be very effective in the UK with the right wood and under the right conditions. Not that speed matters ... and no this is not the fastest out there .... this is just showing that the fire plough can be effective in the uk
The best uk native wood I have found so far is Lime (Tilia) on Lime which is being used in this clip (I've not been able to coax embers as quick with other wood combinations)
And as you can see I kneel far back and use my body weight to push down on the blade.

As a Brum Brit it's great to see your channel in the fiction fire come bushcraft/survival or primitive fire lighting genre. I have seen a huge number of vids on the subject and the fire plough seems to be done the least and is possibly the most difficult so I am highly impressed. Sorry to say though that about 8 seconds is the fastest I've seen on YouTube and the other things the guy does would amaze you, 15 consecutive hand drill embers at about 6 to 8 seconds each for example🇬🇧👍
