When Boateng said Pirlo told him to stop shouting for the ball because he will find him, you know thats a master speaking. I loved Pirlo so much

Pirlo once claimed that the number of his assists would've been considerably more if he had played behind Messi or Cristiano. It's easy to see why.
He wasn't just a technician. He was a genius. A master craftsman.
Simply brilliant

Italy would never win 2006 World Cup without him, such an intelligent player

There was never a player, and probably never will be, who was able to create chances for fun from a CDM position like Pirlo did.
Truly one of a kind. Literal poetry on the pitch. One of the best footballers I've ever seen.

Pirlo is the definition of an artist on the pitch no one come close to him in vision and long passing what a player

I can just imagine certain strikers getting this sort of delivery, guys who like to hit it one time. Imagine Lewandowski, CR7 or RVP on the end of Pirlo's perfectly lofted pass...

My fav defensive midfielder of all time, never needed to sprint, could give any type of pass, score different type of free-kicks, cross from any angle, he was a joy to watch, still miss him playing.😍😍

There is an air of elegance and nonchalant grace about Pirlo’s game that’s unique and not easily copied by others.

One of the most unique players I've ever seen

It's not just the pass itself (which, of course, is unreal in its vision and quality). It's the grace of his movement. His body movement is just so elegant when he pings the ball. That little drop of the right shoulder followed by the coolest, most composed kick of the ball is just beautiful. There's an arrogance there that comes with knowing that you can drop the ball on a penny.

Pirlo is such a unique player. Different type of breed from Xavi/Iniesta.. He seemed to be able to bypass any type of defense with a single stroke of perfectly weighted pass. This kind of video is f**kin therapeutic...
dwipayanali
One of the most satisfying players to watch

Pirlo is just the most casual passer out there.... His vision is unmatched...

Pirlo is my favorite player of all time, but as a CDM myself, what astounds me most here is the quality of the finishing. So many difficult one-touch finishes from the air…outstanding passes, sure, but so many of these guys make it look easy.

Think about this. This man played at AC Milan for 10 years during his prime. There are hardly any clips in this wonderful 9 minute video of his time there. Think about about how many genius passes this man has played that don't show up in this video. i can think of a few off the top of my head. Hell, there isn't even a single pass from the 2006 WC in this video. Not even his famed no-look assist to Grosso in the 119' in the semi-final agianst Germany. Peerless Pirlo.

I love Xavi Hernandez, he can control midfield with 500 pass per game, but 90% of that pass is low risk pass. Compare to this man, Pirlo make much high risk pass, short and long pass. He can make you face to face with your opponent goal keeper with his pass. This man is amazing 👍

When looking at Italy 🇮🇹, you are looking for a maestro long-range cross, Pirlo is your man
When looking at England 🏴, the sexiest man in the field is the one and only David Backham
Those era, every countries have so many potential players gifted with the uniqueness and character of style that makes so much enjoyment in football history
Nowadays, money makes no feelings for the game
Just buy and sell more of business

Possibly the most underrated player ever. One of the greatest midfielders ever without a doubs. His vision was out of this world
polinamaurou
He was better than Xavi and Iniesta but people think citing a humble quote of him saying they are better is evidence LOL

Just imagine Ronaldo or Messi receiving those passes from pirlo he would ended midfielder with most assists in the history 😱
