You may struggle with the fact that to get the biggest returns, you should invest with the biggest companies…but the biggest companies also tend to be some of the biggest polluters and lack social responsibility.

In today’s video, I’m sharing the tool I use for ethical investing (aka green investing, ESG investing, or sustainable investing). This is an easy way to find socially responsible ETFs and socially responsible index funds.

THANK YOU BRITT! I am so happy I found this video. I am in the Million Dollar Year class and at the stage of opening my HYSA. I had been struggling for 3 days to decide where to bank. Do I chase the highest APY at big banks like Sofi that fund fossil fuels, fast fashion, and factory farming (AKA everything I am morally against in the world) OR do I go with Atmos, your recommendation for a climate crisis fighting bank. I listened to my heart today and went with Atmos but I was still nervous knowing that later steps in investing I would encounter this same moral dilemma . This is super important to me and I came to a standstill when I found so many big ESG’s didn’t align with my values (not sure how you can include Exxon in an ESG and Amazon seems like an odd choice too 🤔). 💚 This info opened a great conversation in my family. My kids just opened investment accounts in Vanguards ESGV. (Companies that have better records in environmental, social, and governance policies. Minimum $1 to start.) When they start working, we will roll it into a Roth. I am so glad to see them getting the head start most of us did not have, ethically.

Could really do with a website that promotes ethical ETF. I would like to not invest in any weapons as western governments destabilise and desimate foreign countries for profit and not invest in alcohol, junk food or factory animal farming. Finding out with ESG covers can be very time consuming and the ethics are inconsistent, like most ESG ETF won't invest in tobacco but will invest in alcohol which causes just as much harm.
