We do this a lot at work for 2 and 4 inch hose. Our company policy is a double wrap and a double band that way the fittings don’t blow off.

You don't need a Hammer, The tool is design to do the Hammers work and to bend the two clips over

Very cool tool and ergonomic, too. I remember the older ones from 25 years ago. They sucked. Especially, if the band slipped while tightening. Ugh.

Great video from a sales point of view though I find this method wasteful and this stuff is expensive. If the clamped end is fed directly off the roll and the start of the tape is fed underneath it last there is zero waste. I also prefer to fold the tool over the buckle with the cutting leaver facing away from the clamp for a fuller fold, ease of cutting and less chance of slippage and tension loss.
