In Star Wars the Force Awakens, why doesn't Anakin Skywalker's force ghost advise Kylo Ren from continuing his path through the dark side of the force? Surely he has been thee and could have given solid advice. Is Snoke interfering? Is Kylo unable to get calls from Anakin?

Kylo has the same amount of letters as Sand, therefore Anakin doesn't like him and thinks he's irritating and gets everywhere

Hayden was a good anakin. I wouldn't mind seeing him back.

Kylo: Grandfather what should I do?
Anakin: listen to your Uncle Luke
Kylo: Turn to the dark side, build a planet destroying base, and kill my father? Got it.

I'd like to see Anakin return. The prequels don't deserve the hate.

If anakin comes back as a conflicted ghost, it will completely ruin the purpose for the return of the jedi. The idea behind the end of ROTJ was that he was at peace with who he was with the force.

I wish they did bring Anakin back. Stop treating episodes 1-3 like they didn’t happen they did. They have a chance to fix some things they need to do it.

Anakin was always my favourite character.

I wouldn't want a conflicted force ghost Anakin/Vader because that would ruin Vader's redemption in ROTJ.

If Anakin (force ghost or whatever) does return in VIII or IX it will just be Anakin and not Vader.

The whole issue Anakin had throughout his life was with death. He had a fear of death. When he lost his mom, he flipped out and went on a killing spree. When he had seen Padme dying in a vision, he was so fearful of it actually happening that he gladly followed Palpatine into the dark. In fact, it was that same fear of death that eventually brought Anakin back and destroyed his ties to the dark side, thus destroying his whole Vader personality. When Luke was on the verge of death, Vader's fear of death led him to assassinate Palpatine and regain his place as a Jedi, at least in his own mind. "Tell your sister you were right about me."

And then we see Anakin as a force ghost. This seals the deal on Anakin's redemption.

There are more moments in other texts that are no longer considered cannon, but these moments all paint this picture of Anakin being afraid of loss. He was fixated on the fear of losing a loved one to death from the moment he ever suffered loss all the way up to his own death. This fear was precisely what the Jedi Council noted.

Anyway, this means that Vader wouldn't ever return in the new trilogy. Anakin, perhaps. But not Vader. He loved the light side of the force. His loyalty, at his core, truly aligned with the Jedi. And now in death he has been liberated from the chains of fear that once held him to the dark side of the force.

Funny note talking about Hayden. He lived in my area and I've played hockey with him and my high school played against his in sports so saw him a few times as same year with him. Who would of thought he'd be Anakin in Star Wars.

The idea that Anakin and Vader are "two different people" is counter intuitive and pretty much negates the character entirely.

Maybe he doesnt want to help kylo in his dark path of the Force?

Because Disney thinks everyone hates the prequels

If he's a conflicted force ghost, then this dialogue in RotJ would no longer make sense.
Luke: "--I've got to save you!"
Anakin: "You already have, Luke."

I personally think Anakin is the best character in all Star Wars universe... His journey is the most emotional...
Of course hayden's portrail of him wasn't the best.. But the depiction of his character in The Clone Wars is perfect! He is too important to be left out in this new saga. They need to bring him back, but in the right way
