I went to the theatre recently and they had a 15 minute interval. Does that sound right?

Just looking for people opinion :

Now many miles per week (minimum ) you have to run or how fast per mile on your runs you have to be moving to be considered an ""athlete

I’m new to running so thank you for this explanation. I feel that I’ve plateaued and this is ideal to try and push on.

In regards to Interval Sessions - how often would this be completed?

Hi Chris, I did a time-based VO2 Max session last week (4 × 5mins) with 2-minute walk recovery instead of my usual km repeats (×5). I used same pacing as before from vdot and must admit I preferred the time based option. I actually spent more time at VO2 Max using the time option.

Thats a great video Chris. A lot of newbies can really get confused by interval training.

Thanks Chris, it is tricky getting intervals right when I’m fairly new to intervals, I’ve been running tempo 15k & 30k long runs for years but, have only tried intervals sessions a few times, so thanks for the how to run interval tips 👍

Very useful info. Thanks for sharing ! I like running by time but normally in my easy and long runs so will give it a go for intervals

Did x6 400m with 400m recovery today. Around 80 secs, it's hard work though 😅 aiming to do a mile TT in a few weeks time.

Good theory on the intervals, Chris! Thanks for sharing! Today I had to make 2 intervals of 5000m @4:00/km and 2 of 2000m @3:55, and one of 1000m @3:45/km, but due to the hot weather in Romania those days, I only did 3000m @4:00/km and I had to abandon my training. During the weekend I did 10k @4:00/km and I should have rested more. Anyway, very good clip, mate! All the best wishes!

Thanks for this Chris. Only started doing intervals again over the last couple of months with my club. Good to hear your approach to them 👍
