Thank you for introducing this problem. It made me realize "the importance of simplifying a problem first" before considering factoring. Because it is alot easier to multiply the first coefficient and the third coefficient: 1×6=24 ... And from this bit of information, I can ask myself ¿what are the factors of 24 that will give me -when adding or subtracting them- will give the second coefficient?" Thanks again!

Factor out the 4 first.
4(x^2 -x -6) = 4(x-2)(x+3)
Was I right? Lets watch and find out (•‿•)
Opp's, I got 4(x^2 +x -6) doh!
