Bastet is one of the most popular gods from Egyptian Mythology. She is known for the fact she looked like a cat and was considered the goddess of the cats, but at the same time also the goddess of protection and passion. She was also a protector of the God Ra on the Solar Boat in the eternal battle against Apophis.

Cats are popular today, thanks to Bastet! The world cherishes the cat, and women enjoy having cats, though some prefer dogs. My cat Tiger-J is a living male Bastet.

I am trying to figure out how she is often depicted as a European woman when she is of Egyptian (AFRICAN) origin?🤔

Bast actually has her own Arrows, much like Sekhmet. Unlike Her, which were over disease and healing, Bast's are emotional and fairly obscure. I only know Wenut off the top of my head. There's currently an excavation going on at Per-Bast (what the Ancient Egyptians called the city of Bubastis) and we hopefully will get some more information as the temple is restored.

So yeah, She's over all emotions, not just passion. She is also married to Ptah, and her Sons are Ma'ahes, a war god, and Heru-Hekhenu, a perfume/ointment god who prepares the deceased's body for burial.

I believe Bastet came too me as a black cat and tried to protect me from this guy but I didn’t listen I saw a black cat one night and heard a voice say “diamond it’s a trap” (diamonds my name) and then I was riding my bike to this guys house saying “I’m not gonna go why do u think I’m gonna go” I ended up going everytime and the guy ended up giving me gonorrhea the last time I hung out with him I woke up the next day and freaked out bc I thought he died and then I rode my bike to his house and remembered “diamond it’s a trap” I then hung out with one of my friends and it was a full moon and I saw a black cat again and it was freaking out it was so scary but I’m glad I’m okay and she still protects me today

Lovely short video, you would think these ancient gods are hard to reach or connect to in modern times, surprisingly it is not they're quite welcoming and signs are very clear when they send them

Bastet calls rodents "rude little people who don't learn." She also calls chipmunks "piss rodents" (because they stink to cats)

I think you meant Sekhmet. She was the protector of the Pharoahs and destroyer of the enemies of Ra.
